We’re excited to announce that we’ve been nominated for the PIEoneers Awards 2024, in the category of International Student Recruitment Organization of the Year! Let’s be real, this is huge for us. The PIEoneers Awards are like The Oscars of global education, they celebrate innovation, achievement, and impact in International Education. Being the only African study abroad agency nominated in our category, well that’s a big deal, though we’d be lying if we said we weren’t a little nervous too.
The Pioneer Awards are run by The PIE, a leading platform for international education professionals. They’ve been the go-to source for news, insights, and events for the study abroad and student recruitment industries since 2011. These awards highlight those pushing the boundaries of what’s possible in the sector. Importantly, for us and other study-abroad agents, it’s more than a trophy, it’s a living testament to our mission to provide African students with access to life-changing education opportunities abroad.
In 2015 we sent off our first batch of students, and since then we have been driven by a vision bigger than just study abroad programs. We wanted to empower African students to take control of their futures on a global scale. Fast forward to 2020, the world started to take notice. We took home Edupreneur of the Year at the FOYA Awards. In 2023, we earned Best Agency in East & Southern Africa at the Tine Awards and recognized as Top Digitally Fit Consultants at the KE Online Digitally Fit Awards in the same year. So that was exciting!
Now, in 2024 at the PIEoneers Awards, we’re not only humbled by the nomination but even more overjoyed to be standing alongside global giants like AECC Global, Global University systems, IDP Education among others.
We look forward to celebrating, connecting and learning from other Global Education leaders. The now sold-out event might look intimidating but for us, our vision still stands strong, this isn’t just about recognition, it’s about proving that African students do belong on the global stage.
Finally, as we head to London for the awards, we’re not just competing for ourselves. We’re representing Africa and every student we’ve helped. Importantly we couldn’t have done it without you, thank you for being with us every step of the way.
